Obituary

Ella Jane Williams 80 of Varney, WV went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday Dec. 16, 2015 at the Pikeville Medical Center. She was born Feb. 22, 1935 at Varney, WV the daughter of the late Mose and Hulda Justice Hinkle. She was also preceded in death by children, Joanetta Burke and Clifford Ray Williams and her husband Clifford "Bam" Williams.
Mrs. Williams worked as a Postmaster for the US Postal Service for many years at Ragland and then Varney post office. She was a faithful member of the Pie Church of God. Ella had many interests and hobbies, but above all her defining interest was her love for God, her desire to spend time in His word and her dedication in growing each day to be more like our Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will always be in our hearts. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children, Randall Dale and wife Yvonne Williams, Walter Thomas and wife Annette Williams and Lora Jean and husband Alex Vaggot, sisters, Lora Mae Varney and Sadie Scaggs and 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Chafin Funeral Home Saturday Dec. 19, 2015 at 1:00pm with Rev. Bill Snodgrass officiating. Burial will follow in the Williams/Gray Cemetery at Varney.
