Mary Jane Daugherty, 95, of Chattaroy, went to be with her Lord on November 3, 2014, at the Appalachian Regional Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility in South Williamson, KY.
She was born July 15, 1919, in Mingo County, WV, a daughter of the late William Smith Justice and Millie Burchett Justice Sherman.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lawrence Leon Daugherty; brothers, Johnie, Andrew, Thurman and Paris Justice; and sisters, Angeline Hinkle, Hulda Hinkle and Nora Hinkle.
Mary Jane was a faithful member of the Chattaroy Church of God where she served as the church clerk and Sunday school teacher for many years.
Mary Jane is survived by her children, Ronald (Ruth) Daugherty, Freda (John) Copley, Patricia Daugherty, Linda (Eddie) Fields, Brenda Kay Daugherty and Kathy Collins; three sisters, Elizabeth Ann Tiller, Ethel RIffe and Emma Paige Hinkle and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family members and friends
Mary Jane will be missed and lovingly remembered always.
Visitation is from 6pm to 9pm, Wednesday evening, November 5, 2014, at the Chattaroy Church of God.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Thursday, November 6, at the church. The Reverend Michael Bostic will officiate.
Interment is in the Mountain View Memory Gardens at Maher, WV.
Members of the Chattaroy Church of God will serve as active pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers are Gary Harper, Paul Thompson, John Robinette and Roger Workman.
