Ethel Rife 92 of Varney,WV
went home to be with the Lord May 2, 2015. She was a patient at the Community Hospice in Ashland, KY. Mrs. Rife was born Dec. 7, 1922 at Varney, WV the daughter of the late William Smith Justice and Mille Burchett. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jodie Rife, son, William Hank Rife, daughters, Nancy Jane and Joyce Gail Rife, brothers, Johnny, Paris and Thurman Justice, sisters, Angie, Hulda and Nora Hinkle and Mary Jane Daughtery.
She was a longtime member of the Varney Church of God and was a homemaker.
Those left behind to cherish her memories include her sons, Jodie (Joyce) Rife Jr., of Lexington, KY, Marvin (Brenda) Rife of Chardon, OH, Wallace Ray Rife, Dallas (Brenda) Rife and Arnold Rife all of Varney, WV, sisters, Elizabeth Tiller and Emma Hinkle both of Varney. She has several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Chafin Funeral Home Wednesday May 6, 2015 at 1:00pm with Rev. Gary "Bo" Starr officiating. Burial will follow in the Justice Cemetery at Varney, WV.
