Emma said she was tired and just wanted to rest a little while and on February 14, 2019 she went to rest in the arms of her savior, Jesus Christ. She ran her race and finished her course, she has made heaven her eternal home. Emma passed away peacefully in her bed at home where she resided with her daughter, Brenda Sue Fields and her husband Roger.
Mrs. Hinkle was born June 11, 1927 at Varney, WV. She was the daughter of the late William Smith and Millie Burchette Justice. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Bill Hinkle, Her longtime companion and friend, Jim Hatfield, Her daughter Ruby Hinkle, Her sons, Roger Lee Hinkle, Raymond Russell Hinkle and Billy Ray Hinkle. Her Grandchildren, Ernest D. Hinkle, Michael D Hinkle, Leah P. Hinkle, Allen Hinkle, Melissa Hinkle, Eva Hinkle and William Hinkle. Her Brothers, Johnny, Paris and Thurman Justice and Her Sisters, Angie, Hulda, Nora, Mary Jane and Ethal.
Emma was a member of A New Beginning Community Church at Taylorville, WV. She loved the Lord and prayed even in her weakness. She was a homemaker and loved her home. She loved her what-knots and baby dolls. She could tell you who bought every one of them. Emma was left to bring up fourteen children on her own when her husband passed away and she worked hard her whole life to see that her children had what they needed. She raised her own and helped with many others. To say she will be missed just isn’t enough, she will be mourned by all who knew and loved her.
I am reminded of what King David said at the passing of his son. He said while he was yet alive, I fasted and prayed, who could tell if God would be gracious. Now he is gone, and he can’t come back to me, but I can go to him.
The Lord gives and the Lord takes away, blessed be the name of the Lord.
