Obituary for Randy Varney
Randy Varney, age 63, of Varney, West Virginia, departed from this life on Sunday, June 30, 2024 while at Pikeville Medical Center. Randy was born on March 15, 1961 to the late Leroy and Marie Varney in Williamson, West Virginia. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his niece, Nora Nicole Varney.
Randy was a loving, compassionate man. He was kind and caring, to say the least. He loved spending his days playing in local softball leagues, and is remembered as one of the members of the 1980s rock band, Snowblind, where he did the lightshow. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his son, Travis (Hannah) Mounts and their children, Kyndle and Kylee, his companion, Susie Varney, his brother, Leroy (Melinda) Varney Jr, his sisters, Evelyn (Robert) Folk and Grace (Greg) Ritchie, his special friend, Pastor Fred Taylor, and a host of other loving nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
In honoring the wishes of Randy, no services will be held. Chafin Funeral Home is proudly serving the Varney Family.
