Phillip “Dink” Hinkle, 61, of Greeneville, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2016
at his home. He is survived by: wife of 27 years: Angie Hinkle; 2 step daughters:
Melissa Buttery, Wendy Rakestraw; mother-in-law: Wilma Johnson; children: Sgt. Wayne Hinkle, Brandy Hinkle, Amy Colyer,
Several grandchildren; 5 brothers: Barry Smith, Johnny Smith, Lee Looney, Ricky Hinkle, Johnny Lee Hinkle; 5 sisters and brothers-in-law: Reba and Rufus “Ducky” White, Betty Jo and Bruce “Healthy” Shepherd, Mary Jane “Crickett” and Mike McCoy, Marie Varney, Phyllis and Dave Satterly; sisters-in-law: Janice and Jim West, Debbie and Bobby Ripley, Treva and Randy Wilhoit, Tammy and Jimmy Jones, Teresa and Henry Martin; several nieces and nephews.He is preceded in death by: parents: John and Nora Hinkle; brothers: Danny Paul Hinkle, Billy Joe Hinkle, Kenneth Ray Hinkle and Jerry Hinkle.
At his request, his body will be cremated. The family will receive friends, Saturday, August13, 2016 from 2-4pm at Jeffers Funeral and Cremation Service Downtown. The memorial service will follow visitation at 4pm in Jeffers Funeral Chapel Downtown, with Rev. Benny Hensley officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
